Grid Carbon Intensity
Carbon intensity is forecast up to 96 hours ahead for each region in Great Britain. This allows consumers to directly adjust their energy consumption patterns, or use ZUoS to automatically control their smart devices, to schedule and minimise CO2 emissions locally, and support more renewable energy generation on the grid. The Carbon Intensity API uses state-of-the-art Machine Learning and sophisticated power system modelling for its forecasting, developed by National Grid ESO and others.
